Upcycled Laser Cut Valentines

Do you have art stashed in drawers or under the bed that you can’t quite part with but will never see the light of day?

Time to breathe new life into your abandoned art and share the love with these 3D laser cut hearts.

And while you’re at it, invite a few friends over to create alongside you. See the creations my friends made (below) when they visited my studio this past weekend.

3D Laser Cut Heart Ornaments

STEP 1

laser cut PAPER (CARDSTOCK, WATERCOLOR, PRINTMAKING, etc.)

pro-tip: for better results cut face down. hearts fold better when scored on the back.

STEP 2

SELECT SIX HEARTS AND FOLD INWARD ALONG CENTER LINE.

Two paper hearts glued together on one side using glue stick.

STEP 3

Apply glue on the back half of the 1st heart then stick to the back half of the 2nd heart.

glue: white glue or glue stick

STEP 3 CONTINUED

cONTINUE GLUEING HEARTS TOGETHER

STEP 4

Leave the last side unglued.

Cut and knot a piece of string for the hanger.

STEP 5

glue string in the center of the heart using white glue.

STEP 6

glue the last sides together to close.

Tada! time to give it to someone you love
