Laser Cutting Boot Camp

Too often artists come to me having been told their creative ideas are impossible or shamed for not having enough digital knowledge.

It's time to change that!

In June six printmakers traveled to FreeFall Laser in North Adams, Massachusetts for my first Laser Cutting Boot Camp, a four-day intensive designed for artists-educators.

Laser Cutting Boot Camp trains educators, boosting their confidence in operating and maintaining a laser cutter, teaching them what is safe and unsafe, helping them master basic techniques that expand the application of laser cutting in the studio arts, and much more.

Testimonial from Janet Ballweg:

Laser Cutting Boot Camp was exactly what I needed and a LOT more than I expected for 4 days! Sarah’s thorough instruction made the whole process very approachable. I loved the collaborative nature of the projects.

In this post I give you a behind-the-scenes photo tour of my inaugural Laser Cutting Boot Camp for Printmakers.

Did you know I also do in-person trainings? I'm heading to Bowdoin College in a few weeks to work one-on-one with its faculty. Want me to come to your institution? Contact me.
